When you score 36 points and lose I really don't blame the qb unless he has multiple pick 6's.

Romo is getting paid Tom Brady/Drew Brees salary. Good luck getting that trade or getting him to agree to renegotiate. Jerrah is fricked.

Why does Romo suck in Dec and Jan? The world will never know.
I'll ask again.

Why isn't Flacco summoning this magical ability this regular season, seems like they kind of need it right?

Clutch

They are 7-6 right now, in the hunt for the wild card spot. They were only 10-6 last year, and went on to win the Super Bowl. And they are on a 3 game winning streak, when they needed it the most. And are playing their best football of the season right now. Flacco plays his best in must win situations... just like its been the last few weeks for the Ravens.

And he def summoned some of that magic last week...

Honestly, I root against the Cowboys, but objectively, Romo ain't the problem. He's a lightening rod for all that ails the team. I agree, though, and have stated such for each of the last two years, both parties could benefit from a divorce.

I agree with this. Romo is great till the end of the 4th quarter, and it has to be killing Jones.

Actually, Romo is one of the best at the end of the game.

Give Dallas a competent DC and a few decent defensive players, and I guarantee Tony Romo's 4th quarter chokes plummet.

in your opinion/best guess, why doesn't he summon it and do this from week 1?

Romo has pretty good trade value I imagine.

Jones needs to understand that there is no salary cap in the most important job on a football team: head coach. He needs to get Sean Payton on board..period.

he loves Romo and wanted Romo to come with him to NOLA, as they are both Eastern Illinois guys. bring him in and pay him whatever he wants.

When you lose early on in the season, you have 10 or more weeks / games to make up for that loss. And im not saying those games are more or less important or anything. But if you lose early on, you can still make up for it. When youre battling for a playoff spot / wild card in weeks 13-17, a loss or win can make or break youre chances for making the playoffs. Youre pretty much backed up against the wall.

I dont have an answer for you as to why doesnt he summon it from week 1. Maybe he improves over the year, and isnt playing his best football week 1. Maybe he just plays better in the bigger games and bigger situations.

And i dont want my team playing their best all year in the first few weeks. i want my team to be playing its best ball later in the year and down the stretch. I mean look at who have won the past few Superbowls. Packers, Giants, and Ravens. Those teams didnt have home field advantage. Hell they barely made it into the playoffs. But, they were the hottest teams in the NFL late in the year, where each play and game is magnified compared to the games in the first few weeks of the year.

Go check out the NFL standings in the early parts of the season. The Panthers were 1-3 at 1 point. The Dolphins were 3-0 at one point. A lot of things change at the season progresses. The cream rises to the top the later the season gets...

the incredible thing about this shitty season is that all they have to do is beat the abysmal redskins and the average eagles, and they make the post-season!

It's a lose-lose for him. If he takes a sack on the first INT and punt and the D lets GB score to win, people would bitch about how Dallas is paying him all this money and they don't even trust him to make plays.

So he tries to make a play, makes a terrible throw and gets killed for it.

Flacco can thank Rahim Moore for the blown coverage for the W that day and his SB run.

Yes, I'm a bitter Denver fan.

He has to check our of the run play, not go hot route where only him and Austin know the play. Everyone else was run blocking, and because he didnt check out of the play, the RB didn't pick up the outside rusher.

It's really HS QB level stuff, to be honest.

And he made the wrong coverage read on the second INT.

JJ is the league's worst GM. Over pay a QB and fall in love with a selfish prick WR. No money left to run a defense and then get on TV with a bunch of BS every pre-season talking about SB or bust.

I'd take him in Houston.

Dude gets a lot of unnecessary hate. Sure he threw 2 INT's, but the defense played like shite and the offensive play calling in the second half was putrid.

He either should have stayed with the run (depends on offensive philosophy), taken a one step drop and thrown it immediately, or just taken the sack.

I guess. But you act like QBs don't do that. Go back to the Lions game, no one had any idea Stafford was going to sneak it from the 1 instead of spiking it.

He was a hero for that. What if someone punched it out and they lose? Same kind of play. Romo tried to make a play, made the right decision to throw it, but the ball was placed terribly. If it's out in front of Austin, it goes for a TD or at least big play and we're not even talking about this.

I'm guessing you're talking about the only person on that team that gives a damn about winning football games and actually shows it?

Romo isn't the problem. Jerry Jones is the problem, with a side of Jason Garrett.

You have Ware, Carr (sometimes), and Sean Lee who are Elite Defensive Talents. After that, you have 8 other players that suck dick. This is the NFL's historically worst defense. = Jerry's fault.

26-3 lead at Halftime and a running game that is breaking off big run after big run. Completely abandon it in the second half. = Garrett's fault.

People that try to pin the Cowboys woes on squarely on Romo are ignorant.
