Do you ever predict good thing to happen to teams?

Or ever go out on a limb? It's not like the best teams always make the World Series.

Braves fan checking in. The Dodgers were my preseason pick to win it all and I'm sticking to it. Looks like a solid pick so far.

04 Cardinals. Same 50 game stretch if LA wins tonight. We lost in WS to Boston. Bet the bank on the Sox.

It wasn't about peaking too soon.

2001 Mariners won 10 out of their last 12 games.

They were the hottest team in baseball - not just record-wise.

But then they barely beat the Indians in the ALDS...

Their loss to the Yankees was not a shocker though...the Yankees beat the A's whom the Mariners struggled with all year. Mariners just weren't as good as their record indicated.

They had a rotation that looked like freddie Garcia, Aaron sele, Jamie Moyer, and Paul abbott

Freddie Garcia had a solid year but after that? A whole lot of meh

Totally lies in the hands of Kershaw. If he pitches like regular season CK they make it. If he keeps choking they prob won't

Boston's starting pitching that year was disgusting. Pedro and Schilling were a tough 1-2.

ETA: That's why the Indians are going to be a tough out this year. If they actually have a healthy Carrasco and Salazer, they'll be really tough to beat. Kluber is disgusting and Bauer is finally pitching up to his talent.

The M's were as good as their record indicated. You don't win 116 on a fluke. They just burnt out in the playoffs. Happens to a team almost every year.
