Bo Nix left the best conference in the land to go to the PAC 12.

Jayden Daniels left the PAC 12 to go to the best conference in the land.

There is good reason to believe Daniels would have been as good or better than Nix had he transferred to Oregon, but no one thinks Nix would be putting up Daniels like numbers at LSU.

I think you're right. Well, their 3-6 are some salty SOBs. Head to heads would be fun bowls to watch.

This year? Or we just livin' off of Georgia's reign? Or Bama name? Lot of seriously bad bad bad teams in the SEC bro.

I mean Tennessee being ranked was a joke and frankly, Mizzou #9...geez...survived that Florida juggernaut tonight.

Living in the past and off reputation has nothing to do with this Heisman race...every year is anew.

Daniels doesn't need bootstrapping by a Conference fan to teams he hasn't beaten...his play is good enough to be judged fairly by his realistic competition not hanging his hat on a Conference reputation or specifically a loss to said team.

But you're right, he'll get the Southern voting embargo bloc (which is real, Southern Heisman voters infamously left Christian McCaffrey off their ballot) unless they give Bo some Auburn Alabama love.

I always enjoy reading the spin fans use in justifying their players' winning awards.

Now, it's a "my conference is supposed to be better" justification.

This is a succinct argument that is as unassailable as it is convincing…

THE deciding factor

No it’s not. Jayden Daniels has been the best player in college football and should win the heisman. But it’s not because of where these two transferred to and anything prior to this season.

Nix wins solely because of team record and CFP implications

Daniels a close 2nd

I think Daniels is the best player FWIW

1. Gaudy stats
2. Team record
3. Winning games late in the season

It's down to those two. If WA can beat Oregon again, I think Jaden wins it. Otherwise, I can't see Nix losing it if they win the Pac and he keeps playing like this.

And Jayden Daniels clearly dominated the pac12 when he was there.

I agree. We would have still had a chance if Bo Nix came into the game after Jayden Daniels got knocked out with a dirty hit early in the 4Q. Having Bo Nix as Daniels backup would have been a good luxury this season.

That’s one way to look at it. Of course you could also say he left a dumpster fire of a program that fired the coach that recruited Nix AND the guy that replaced him and is on their 3rd HC (5 with the interims) of his college career for a program that is in contention for the playoffs

I don’t care about anything. Daniels is the best player in college football this year.
