The O lovers that are saying this proves O was a good hire is hilarious. Saban lost to ULM his first year

No one is saying that you dumbass. This thread is mainly calling out the people who crowned Herman as the next big thing while he was busy losing to Navy, SMU, Memphis, and San Deigo State last season.

Saban won a national championship at LSU before he lost to ULM in his first season at Bama. Herman has one awesome season under his belt in a shitty conference followed by a very mediocre season, then he was suddenly crowned the Football Lord #1 Chief Rocka stud up-and-comer because he chose Texas over LSU. I think his team at Texas looks very mediocre and poorly coached at times, and I don't really think that's arguable to anyone who's been actually watching this game.

His offense is racking up those pass interference flags.

Too bad it's offensive pass interference

Didn't see anyone answer you. D.J. Durkin. Old assistant with Meyer and Harbaugh

Joe Alleva might be a functioning retard but Tom Herman's agent might be dumber. Herman to Texas was being reported mid season. His damn childhood best friend gave an interview about how he had already accepted the job behind closed doors. The little leverage ploy in the 11th hour was probably the most transparent and cringeworthy negotiation tactic I've seen in a decade, and no one outside of rantards and a few gullible LSU TAF members who moonlight as 247 board heroes bought it for the 6 or 7 hours Herman was a "done deal." Sorry if it got your hopes up.

Up and coming Michigan State coach Nick Saban, who had one big head coaching season under his belt in a shitty conference, lost his first game 50-10, at home. What the hell were they thinking?

Rantards wanted Miles fired after losing his second game at LSU right after a hurricane passed through.

These same people are saying that we can't judge Herman by one game.

You're such a moron if this is how you see it. First of all, Saban took over an absolutely awful, gutted program at Michigan State which was coming off of an 0-11 season and rebuilt them into a respectable program right off the bat, and then they sustained that success and improved to a team that beat 6 ranked teams, including 3 in the top 10, in 1999 by the time he had all of his recruiting classes in place. And he did it in the best conference in the country FYI, not sure where you're getting the retarded idea that the big ten in the 90's was shitty

Herman took over a program that was already the most talented and established in its weak conference and led them to a big season against a bunch of nobodies and then took a huge step back the next season and never proved that he could sustain a high level of success.

You are fricking dumb for comparing Tom Herman to Nick Saban in any way, please go be an idiot somewhere else

He also got pwned by Gerry Dinardo in his first bowl game. Then came to LSU and lost to UAB. In this third season he went 8-5 with four double digit losses. Should have been fired right there on the field after the Cotton Bowl.
