Hey it's championship or bust for the Rockets franchise, unlike the Pels we ain't hoping for just a shot at the playoffs in a couple years.

Nah, I got it. It's the same joke that's been made a few times over the weekend.

An esteemed panel at ESPN had him in the top 5 to start the season, I've gotta say that I agree with them...and Harden has gotten better since then.

I can name 5 players I would rather have on my team at this very moment than James Harden. Best part, I don't even need to use Anthony Davis.

1. Lebron james
2. Kevin Durant
3. Chris Paul
4. Stephen Curry
5. Kevin Love

I'd hope not, he doesn't belong on the list. He hasn't proven that he can play a full season (or at least miss less than 15 games) and lead a team to the playoffs. If you can't lead your NBA team to the playoffs, you aren't a top 5 player.

There are as many current/former all-stars on the Pels as there are on the Rockets. One team finished with the 4th best record in the conference and the other finished with the 4th worst record in the conference.

Lets not take into account the last 5 games he missed, there was nothing to play for. All of his injuries were random injuries as well. The elbow to his head that made him sit out with concussions, fracturing his left hand on an alley-oop, etc.

I mean lets not take into account you know, its a team game either. Kevin Love is not a top 5 player because he didn't make the playoffs? Stat padding on ppg is one thing, but his overall play is up there compared to your big man who is a top 10 player at the very least.

False

One team also stayed healthy all year.

All joking aside, Harden is a very good player. He'd be a great player if he even tried to play defense.

But he is so horrific at it its hard to put him in the top 5.
