USC was always the better team relegated to playing a worse Big 10 team after blowing a game they shouldn't have and not making the championship game.

Big10 was crap coming out West in the 70's and 80's - and most of the 90's - Bo couldn't win out west was the refrain and he blamed it on the thinning of the blood or something.

The opposite of this is how Notre Dame has a tendency to play the best team in a BCS bowl not playing for the championship, and now CFP.

That was a reference to this year's game, smart guy. Go take a look at how many times the PAC has gotten a favorable matchup. This stuff isn't hard.
Even one occurrence would make me right, but it's happened a few times.
