Meh. First start in Texas vs ridiculously good hitting team plus it's like 115 degrees and dry in the plains so ball is probably carrying absurdly well.

Gearrin has looked pretty good. His fastball has a little more zip to it. Now we just need to make sure Fredi doesn't let him pitch to left handed power hitters in high leverage situations.

Is there a broadcast crew who jinxes their team more often than Joe and Chip? I swear to the flying spaghetti monster that whenever they say a pitcher hasn't given up a HR in so many starts he proceeds to give up a bomb, or when they say X hitter hasn't struck out in a week the guy will K 3 times that night. It's uncanny. Chip has commented on a couple of guys not giving up a hit through 4 innings this year too.
