We're finally back to .500 for the first time since April, and what a long journey it took. These next few series are going to decide what we do personnel wise at the deadline. These 3 vs the Cubs, then 4 at LAD, and 3 at ARI could make or break us as far as the WC race goes. I've felt that if we could finally get to/over .500 that we would finally take off, but it just so happens that we are now running through a meat grinder Hopefully we can take 2 of 3 as the Cubs have been playing well also.

Sean Rodriguez activated today and will play 3B tonight. No Dansbae at SS. Johan gets the start.

Tonight's Lineup:

Ender 8
BP 4
MVFree 3
Kemp 7
T Flow 2
Markakis 9
Sean Rodriguez 5
Camargo 6

Julio vs. Some Cubs frick

Cubs Lineup:

Zobrist 4
Bryant 5
Rizzo 3
Contreras
Schwarber 7
Happ 8
Heyward 9
Baez 6
Lester 1

****Game 2 lineup on page 2****

Don't understand why they haven't called Swanson down yet. Camargo deserves a shot a shortstop right now. I think Phillips has to be moved in the next week for them to still have Swanson up. Sean Rodriguez has been terrible in AAA so far and thought they should've givin him more at bats before the call up.

Plugging in S-Rod right away seems very rushed, especially considering he was hitting something like 3-39 in the minors. People thought Freddie was being rushed too though, and he came back and started raking so who knows.

Also, Snit basically came out and said Dansby is benched indefinitely, but will stay in Atlanta. It makes sense I guess, why would you want your young #1 pick taking ABs away from your shiny new utility player?

I'm fine with giving Camargo a chance at shortstop for the next for weeks. He is the best defensive infielder we have and I think he deserves a chance to start everyday. My issue is if you start Camargo you have to move Swanson down to AAA and let him still play everyday.

I'm a little mixed on this. Although he is struggling at the plate, I still see Dansby as a valuable piece for the future. It is obvious he still needs work. I think sending him down to the minors for a few weeks could do him well. He can concentrate on his mechanics while not being in a higher pressure scenario.

Swanson should be playing every day. I would prefer it be in Atlanta, but if they are stuck on riding the hot hand then Swanson should be in Gwinnett.

He was really good last year for the Pirates and was gonna start at either 2nd or 3rd before the accident. It might take a lot of time before he gets his power back.

Oh wow Freddie. That was amazing.

ETA: Teheran's home/road split this year is one of the weirdest baseball stats I've seen in a long time. His home stats make it seem like STP is Coors Field before the humidor. His road stats make him look like a Cy Young contender.
