He also allowed that hit so he could get the save.

even if he was allowed to do that, the tying run was never on deck

That's just unreal.

Really debating going and getting drunk at the bar for the game. Such a nice day.

On my phone so what's the MLB team HR record for a season? Do we a chance to break it?

I have to drive to Macon to teach at 12:50

I'll have radio coverage until 1:30 when my class starts. Would totally keep the broadcast on low if my students weren't presenting projects

@ajcbraves #Braves Avilan said he'll stick with water and Powerade instead of his usual pregame Red Bull, which might have contributed to cramping.

You got that right. Had 6 guys hit at least 20.

Lineup including Griffey, A Rod, Martinez, Buhner. Damn.

How the hell does a professional athlete get away with that his whole career?

lololololol DBacks

LINK

So far this season, his 3 HR's have resulted in 5 RBI's, continuing his trend of last year. A player who has a few more RBI's than HR's isn't really a team leader.
Last season, JUp was 5th on the D'backs in RBI's, while batting in the heart of the order all season. He was certainly expected to drive in more runs than that. And so far, he's beginning his Braves career the same way.

Home runs may draw ooohs and ahhhs, but RBI's separate the clutch players from the flashy ones. Time will tell if he is better than what he showed us as time went by. It all comes down to whether he is a marginal power hitter vs. a meaningful one. That's up to him. It's JUp to him.

It should be noted that it was another solo HR. 8 homers and 12 RBI's this season.
