It is a tad worrisome that our pitching has gotten absolutely wrecked in three games against a shite offense. Not so much Winans, because he doesn't matter, but the first two games weren't exactly pitching masterclasses outside of Lopez.

Huh?

This isn''t the NBA, no one gives a frick about expiring contracts.

Mets were averaging 2.77 runs a game coming into the series

Have scored 8,5, and 7 with six innings to go

It's a good thing that we stole those two games against Arizona. 7-4 looks a lot better than 5-6.

Baty making that grab on the hardest ball Acuna has hit this season while Arcia and Riley can't field a routine grounder perfectly encapsulates this game.

Speaking of wanting to watching something entertaining and actually competitive, is the Thursday Master’s round not televised?
All I see currently is an ESPN show explaining the Master’s to novices

edit: NVM I see it starts at 1500 when the money draw names tee off

Really needed to win this series because it *might* be a close divisional race with the Phillies down the stretch. Gotta get games up on them while they are floundering.

Not super worried though. If we start dropping series to the Marlins then my eyebrows will be going up a bit

The issue is that we don't really have anyone on the farm to trade unless you want to move AJSS and Waldrep, which I don't think AA will.

If he thinks either makes us better in the years to come while our window is open until the time when Ozzie, Acuna, Riley etc start needing extensions again, even if we would be worse this year by not utilizing them in a trade, theres no way he moves them.

And then next year we likely (almost certainly IMO) have to replace Fried. He is only making $15m this year... thats what guys like Michael Wacha and Jon Gray are making. Hope we invest at least a little more in the position than that.

Keep CeeCee Winans in for the entire 9.
He serves no purpose and makes no sense to waste any of the other pitchers arms since they are dropping like flies these days.

To be fair there have only been 3 real strikes called.
The rest of the strikes called were the daily case of human Umpires no longer needing to exist in the league.
But yes, the bArves are definitely back.
Pure luck that this wasn’t a Messt sweep and that we stole 1 or 2 from the Dbacks.
Manfred’s schedule set us up for failure anyway as it regularly does so we haven’t been able to get into a rhythm yet.

And Ronnie didn't have a single barrel coming into the series. Still a pretty small sample size, no? But even if this was July, a ? Seriously?

Perhaps you are new to this sport, but it's Major League Baseball, and they play 162 regular season games. shite happens. Especially early. And we're throwing probably the 8th best starting pitcher in the organization instead of arguably one of the best 2 or 3 in the entire game. And he's out there to eat innings and wear it a bit to save the pen arms unless or until we make this a game. Remember, this offense fricks. Credit to Broski, but I nominate it for the season slogan. And just wait till Ronnie gets going and Murphy comes back. Sheeeeit.

It would be some shite if he goes into this Miami series and starts slumping, considering it was the Miami series last year where he got his super powers pack.

He is locked the frick in right now. That was a great AB the way he was fouling everything off.
