No doubt. And I know it's been a year, but I still have a hard time believing it. I've never seen a turnaround like that. Before that Miami series last year, I would have taken him being out of the league right now over what he's done. And not really had to think too hard about it.
Ronnie needs to get on the home run board and get that 1st one behind him. I'd sacrifice this game for him get that out of the way. He needs to remember how it feels so he can start repeating it. And the longer he goes, the more he'll press.

My opinion today is that I’m not even mad we’re struggling right now. Adversity is good for a team that spent last season on a cakewalk to the postseason.

I have concerns about Matzek. He's not going to be an effective pitcher with diminished velocity like this.

And, WHY are we using Matzek in a 9-run game when he's coming off TJ, his velocity has been down, and he was used more than expected early?
Probably just been a few days since he's thrown and this would be a pen day for him anyway. But I don't like what this is doing to his ERA.

This team just doesn’t seem or act or look motivated compared to last season. Are they already burned out or something?
I might be thinking way into it too much but perhaps the departure of Coach Washington and other coaches have screwed up the chemistry of this team a little?
