Texans vs. Ravens divisional playoff game was ESPN’s most watched NFL game ever.

Was it Houston or Baltimore drawing the viewers?

Houston didn't get any primetime games this year. Now that they're back on track they should get plenty after seeing this. People love Stroud.

*not until the last regular season game against Indy which was essentially a playoff contest

exactly. What woke crap is the nfl doing that is supposed to be keeping people from watching?

honestly asking. Unless I’m just indoctrinated to it now haven’t heard of any nfl controversy around anthem protests/kneeling or tranny worship in a couple years now.

Where are all the droppings network executives who were saying the NFL was in big trouble?

All this bullshite about ratings plummeting and ad revenue drying up?

Only thing I can figure is the explosion of sports betting online.

Also, wasn't it Mark Cuban that said the NBA would pass the NFL in a decade? That was like 10 years ago.

How many times has ESPN broadcasted a divisional round playoff game? There's your answer.

Not to mention it was also on ABC, and Nielson only recently includes audiences outside the home in its tallies.

That’s not insignificant. ABC will have more viewers than ESPN when the official numbers are released later this week.

The ESPN production set a record, but most of the viewers weren’t watching ESPN.

That was a fun thread, I believe half of those pages are arguing over it being the Black National Anthem and a certain user stating that it is just a “nickname.”

The boards across TD have a really bad habit of thinking their general opinions on this board are shared by the country at large. The NFL is king, and it’s not particularly close, and every time the NFL does some thing posters think will lead to the NFL’s demise only to see it post record numbers there’s always some kind of silly excuse (it was too cold is just one excuse in this very thread).

And don’t get me wrong. I think that Black National Anthem thing is beyond silly and unnecessary, but the way people think they know what the consequences will be on this board never ceases to amaze.

This will trigger the mouth breathers on the Poliboard.

What board doesn't do this? You don't think Reddit believes that they speak for the entire country?
