This is terrible to read.
ETA: there are some pretty graphic images on Twitter of the dog at time of death and the conditions at which the dog lived. fricking disgusting what Terrence Cody did.

I've seen so many people while working in rural Alabama that treat their animals so bad that it is to the point of torture.
I was working in Valley, Alabama last year, and it was about 100 degrees outside, and people would have their dog tied up with no water. If I couldn't find a working water hose to give them water, I would just cut them loose. I freed at least 4 or 5 dogs so they'd at least be able to go down to the river for a drink. At least they had a chance to.
Makes me sick, and Cody is a piece of shite.

Someone who buys a dog for it's image and has done no research into the breed.
Probably did a google search for "big intimidating looking dog" and said "yup that's what I want".
Got the dog and never worked with it so the dog was probably a shithead (as are most big dogs who have never been played with or socialized properly). So rather than take his couple thousand dollar "investment" to the SPCA decided "I paid for it, it's mine. I'll show it who's boss."
