Why didn't Tebow play Baseball at UF?
Jameis is now a NFL starting QB and he did both sports at FSU.

Didn't he also go do some spring training last year or the year before with a MLB team?

I doubt a coach like Urban would've let him.

So you could hit homeruns in batting practice in a MLB sized park using a wooden bat, right?

Hindsight is always 20/20 I guess. Obviously he was one of the greatest QB's in SEC history so it made sense to stick with just football.

Per Wikipedia: Tebow last played baseball his junior year of highschool and the Angels had expressed interest in drafting him if he would have played his senior season.

A lot of strong athletic dudes can jack BP fastballs but can't do shite in an actual game. Like Tebow hitting .194 with 0HR in his 70 plate appearances in the Arizona Fall League.

JJ Watt has put on shows taking BP in Minute Maid Park. But he'd likely he a terrible ball player.

Simply put, Tim Tebow is athletic enough to do this baseball thing, marketable enough for the Mets to tolerate him. In the end the Mets sell merchandise and make money off a single A player and Tebow gets to add "Pro baseball player" to his bio in books and speeches.

And everybody gets to bitch about Tebow which they love doing.

Win. Win. Win.

Yea I read his first book, and he said he gave up Baseball to focus on football, which is understandable (I think he is the greatest college QB of all time), but if he loved baseball so much, why didn't he continue with it through senior year and college?

Which is why I brought up Jameis, Because Jameis Winston has the most comparable college resume to Tebow.. who also played baseball. Like Tebow, Jameis started QB for a very talented team, at a very young age, and both went on to win National Championships, and Heisman Trophy's. Both UF and FSU have top-knotch baseball and football programs. Im just saying I think Tebow could've done both, and he'll never admit now, but he loves football a lot more than baseball.

Sometimes you have to make a business decision in high school. It's not always the right choice, but in Tim tebows case football was the right choice.
