I know the kibosh was put on the season-long threads last year, but I was wondering if it'd be allowed/well-received for fans of teams in the postseason in those leagues to have their own threads to post news/updates/game discussion as long as they're in the running for the Larry O'Brien Trophy/Stanley Cup.

Seems like quite a few such threads would be quite active, tbh.

I'm good with either. It's nice to see the Spurs haters stomach seeing them win...at least last year.

I still have GSW as the favorites right now.

The dubs are for real.

I'm going to stand by my preseason prediction that SA won't make it out of the West a third straight year, but hopefully I'm wrong.

Regardless, it's good to see them playing well down the stretch--I think we'll be a tough out, at least.

RealGM has series specific threads and it works well

Would be too many threads at once during the opening rounds. For the NBA you'd have threads for the:

Spurs
Rockets
Hawks
Cavs
And possibly Memphis, Dallas and OKC or NO

Just one long thread works better IF it's made by someone who will constantly update it. Plus it's not like all the games are on at once. It's usually one at a time, so one constantly updated thread works well.

I'd be down with this.

This year has been really good with the daily NBA thread. It's nice to discuss multiple games among a multitude of fans.

A daily NBA playoff thread would suffice

I've really enjoyed the daily NBA threads, but I think it'd be easier not to let discussion about certain series get lost in the shuffle if it was broken down more specifically.

It's whatever the board wants, though. I'm just spitballing here

I think either daily threads or series threads would be great. A full lump thread for the entire playoffs sucks, imo.

I agree--that's all I was really trying to avoid.

Maybe a thread for each series. There will be 8 series starting up shortly for the NHL. That will drop to 4 threads for the second round, right about when the NBA playoffs start.

Some of the series won't have enough interest to stay on the first page.

I like the idea of having a pinned thread with all series threads linked in the OP but anchored so they don't refresh in the MSB.

No one will post in them with that set up. People will start new threads.
