It's been a thing for what? Maybe two weeks? You think SVP and Russillo was great in its second week?

Im relatively sure there was no thinking. Imho every indication was the radio show was ending no matter what he did.
why did they want to end the best thing they had?

For some reason I thought ESPN forced this upon him, and it wasn't really his choice?

I could be wrong but I remember it not being completely up to him

I love SVP, but it's hard to watch. Everything just seems forced, and the bits from the radio show do not work on TV.

the way he talks, he just kinda acts like everything he says should be a big deal. Like the Dan Patrick thing.... I know he looks up to Dan but you can just tell he thought it was this transcendent piece, and it was boring as frick. Same with the Tim Kurkjan stuff.

And as I watched the one after Monday night, he just kept stumbling over the highlights, like he wasn't prepared at all. I mean WTF else does he do all day? Put a little work into that, and at the least you can have the highlights flow and make up for the other crap that is bad.

I have to admit, though I want it to work out, I've avoided watching it since that first night.

Oh well, they're trying something unique. Sometimes those things work out, often times not.

They basically made him THE sports center anchor at night. Never been done before and I bet it pays better than radio

He left radio because he felt like the step child of their radio line up.

not sure how this is possible

Mike & Mike are in the mornings, and they are what they are

Cowherd is gone

Does he feel that he should have been on evening drive that is now be lebatard? I hope not, because many affiliates pass on evening drive in favors of local personalities.

To be fair, Dan was awkward as hell during that piece.

There was never a set TV schedule... sometimes it would be on for two hours, sometimes for 30 minutes, or not at all. They didn't get any advertising support like M&M and Colin do. All while they were the fastest growing show on all of ESPN.

If they want to do something with SVP, have him do Colin's Football show that came on Sundays. That was one of the best shows they had going last year.

I don't think it was so much svp "wanting" to do it, more so espn saying "this is what we 'want' you to do" rub rub push push.

My biggest gripe is that Im never awake to watch, but i'd like to DVR it and i dont feel like recording 6839 episodes of Sportscenter. I wish they would make a specific name for it so i could record it.

I miss Cowherd at lunch and Le Batard on the drive home.

I'm not a fan of Mike & Mike, but having Greg Schiano join them at times is so much better than Chris Carter.

Rusillo & Kanell are ok at times.

When does SVP come on? Seems like he might have made a mistake.

I enjoy Cowherd. He makes me laugh. Half the time he isn't even talking about sports.

I've always thought that Cowherd was very entertaining and also very full of himself. I'm still amused at how Harbaugh made Colin look stupid during that cringe worthy interview.
