Was this show not supposed to be, idk, groundbreaking?

It's not a horrible show, but he left SVP and Russillo for this? It's the same exact show without Russillo, with some weird silent pauses added in. He took the segments from the radio show and does them by himself. They're forced and just, off. When Stanford Steve is on they just sit there and stare at each other. I watch when I can because SVP and sports. But, as a selfish fan of the other show, I have to say that watching this makes me hate that he left the radio show even more.

They've taken a really, really good thing and made it everything that it was trying not to be.

I don't know who's fault it is. SVP is still the man either way. But, this shite right here

I watched it for the first time last night and it was really bad. I was trying to stay positive but frankly speaking, it sucked.

Why do they insist on putting him on TV?

Like, I like Stanford Steve. He's cool. But he's one of the producers. This isn't a radio show where he just cuts in every once in a while. It's legitimately awkward when he and SVP are sitting on set together at the end of every show.

I know SVP will probably read this so sry, but when his show ends and Neil and Stan come on, I get happy.

They basically made him THE sports center anchor at night. Never been done before and I bet it pays better than radio

Maybe he's insisting on it? He and The Bear get their own show once a week on the Behind The Bets podcast with Chad Millman. I can't quite tell if they are REALLY serious about sports betting, but they seem to be. With the emphasis ESPN is putting on sports gambling, he could be a pretty interesting "guest." The problem is they get so weird, just staring at each other. He's great on BTB. The segment him and SVP have with the SVP lookalikes is cringeworthy.

I've thought for a while now that Buchi(sp) would excell with his own show. He can be pretty damn funny, and is a nut I'm not sure if I'd watch, but this 12 o'clock SC seems like it'd be right up his alley.

I can't stay up and watch, and I don't have time to watch an hour of TV to catch up. Loved the radio program for so long because I could listen to the podcast while driving / working out / etc.

I'm very selfish and want my SVP back.

ESPN'S best ability is to make something good and promptly find a way to frick it all up.

Im relatively sure there was no thinking. Imho every indication was the radio show was ending no matter what he did.

I doubt he had any real choice in the matter. He's an employee of ESPN and they probably thought it would boost ratings of that sportscenter hour, and russillo would be able to hold onto his audience. Idk why you would waste a great personality like SVP on sportscenter though. Should have given him a real show instead

He left radio because he felt like the step child of their radio line up. He was offered more money to do a 30 min TV slot over a 3 hour radio show and I think it really appealed to him because he has a young daughter at home that he can be around more often.

I hope in time (and when his daughter is a little older) he and ESPN will find a way to get the SVP and Russillo show back.

I also can't help but think "what if?" because of the fact that he felt mistreated on the radio line up and Cowherd leaves right after SVP leaves the show. He could have filled that time slot.

I miss the radio show a ton.

I didn't think SVP and Russillo was that great, tbh.

I'll watch this and see if I like it better.
