Exhibit B
LOL

Crabtree runs directly to him and then goes to push off to create space. He did not run the route correctly, and he doesn't get a pass when he puts his hands out first.

Thanks for posting this Famous.

I agree with you. No one is saying that the holding on the punt changed the outcome of the game. Given the rules, it WAS a smart play by the Ravens to hold.

I just do not understand how one can believe in the "integrity of the game," when officials ignore obvious penalties.

As for Phil Simms' idiotic comment about the fourth down play being a "good no call," if Crabtree were pushing off (in addition to the obvious defensive holding), then there should have been off-setting penalties.

yeah. They should have called holding on Exhibit A, and awarded the Niners a Safety. Was clearly the difference in the game.

so here are the two results

flag 4 seconds left safety

no flag 4 seconds left safety

man such a big impact on the game

Genius call by John Harbaugh to tell all 10 blockers to tackle the defenders. Holding in the endzone is a safety but that was Koch's intention anyway. The holds allowed a couple more seconds to tick off. Genius

Yea I expect you'll see the rules committee look into this in the offseason. It's 100% legal and smart as hell at the moment, but they have to do something about it. In theory they could not even try to hide it, be openly tackling the defenders to the ground (which they borderline were) and milk like 20 seconds off the clock. It'll likely be changed this offseason.

Could they not have gotten the safety and ten yards on the kick? If so, it could have made a fair catch/free kick more likely. But I don't remember what yard line Ginn was on when he fielded the kick.

it is genius...but thinking about it it does bring up a valid point of how the hell did the refs not throw a flag?

I think the refs were more concerned with getting the clock stopped at the fight time since it was obvious a safety was going to occur. they weren't really looking for a hold is what I'm trying to say.

Had they taken the penalty and the safety, the Koch safety would have been negated. Bottom line is either way results in exactly four seconds on the clock with a safety awarded to 49ers.

Ginn caught the free kick at the 20 I believe. I remember thinking Koch kicked the ball 60 yards in the air - 20 to 20.

That last holding was completely irrelevant, it would have resulted in a safety in either case. Probably the smart thing to do.

I did NOT have problem with the refs in this game they let them PLAY from the start and did NOT want to be an ITEM by the time the game is over.
