As a public service, Bama takes USC laughingstocks and rehabilitates their careers.

They're going to pound yellowhammers and slay sorority girls together.

I guess there's no reason to question any of Saban's decisions at this point. Though it's a perplexing hire.

Joey Freshwater approves of this move. He needs a wingman.

There's a real coaching fraternity. They're obviously doing it so he remains associated with football as he works to get back to getting hired as an OC or HC somewhere.

Jeff Tedford was hired as an "offensive consultant" at Udub for the exact same reason. He wants to be a college HC and nothing came up for this season so his old buddy Chris Petersen (they coached together at Oregon) brought him on board so he stays associated with football as he aims for a job next year.

Yep and I have no problem with that. I like that they look out for one another even if the hard times were a result of their own actions.

My favorite former Head Coach on that staff is Mario Cristobal. I was surprised Rutgers didn't hire him last year as he coached there for a time.
