but for the average student any degree at Stanford is much harder.
No it isnt. How do you make communications classes harder? or accounting classes harder? The subjects are what they are out of a standard textbook

You are assumed to be smart for attending them when the top few students at a state school are just as capable.

Totally. The top students from LSU are just as capable as the top students from Stanford.

Yes and they all use the same textbooks and have the same classes. An accounting degree from LSU is just as good as one from Stanford or Yale. Totally.

Cash is an asset and accounts payable is a liability at Stanford and Lsu. No way to change that bud

People act like Sherman is smart because they think it's cool to label a black guy as smart. Like they're trying to come off as super not racist.
Richard Sherman attended Dominguez High School after being born in Compton, California and went on to be the school's salutatorian with a 4.2 GPA. He also graduated from Stanford with a degree in communications, and has since began his master's degree. One time, while still in high-school, Richard Sherman made Pete Carroll (was head coach at USC) wait 2.5 hours to meet him...because he didn't want to leave class early.

He's smart...

No they don't. They MIGHT get more attention in that area than others positions do, as a whole at least.

But you're blind if you don't think it became the "cool" thing to do to bring up how smart Sherman is. Is Sherman the first player to succeed in the NFL from Stanford or Cal or places like that? I'm sure they all get labeled as extremely smart though.

Having a 4.2 and then making a 900 means your high school is really, reallllllllly bad

You think Sherman is the first guy the media has gone out of its way to talk up his academics and how smart he is?

Oh lord.

I'd be willing to bet half the people here on TD who shite on Winston for being "stupid" wouldn't score as high as he did.

But, ya know, narratives and things.

If the average TD poster went to school in Compton they would have had a 5.0
