Sounds like McAfee may be leaving Gameday at years end

To the 49%, I have some great news.. I have heard you all very loud and clear since the beginning of my stint with GameDay. It’s one of the biggest reasons why I have not resigned a contract with the legendary show. I’m not right for some crowds and the “distinguished” College Football folks are definitely one of those.
Excited to enjoy the rest of this year, that’s shaping up to be a GREAT one, and then see what the future holds.
It’s been an absolute blast and an honor to be at that desk and to work with the fine folks of that family… it’s also been really fun to work 7 days a week for the last 2 football seasons. Nice reminder that I’m still a fricking DAWG.
The dumbest life of all time shall roll on.. Let’s have a great NFL Sunday.

I was shocked they allowed him and his crew to curse on his ESPN tv show. one of the guy kept saying frick, like he was an infant who heard it for the 1st time.
Have they allowed anyone else to curse like that on their show, on espn network.

Shame. I know he’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I like him on Gameday. He brings some much needed je ne sais quoi to a show that had become very repetitive and bland with 10 minutes of football talk, 30 minutes of sad stories, and 10 minutes of random filler every hour that could go in any direction between commercials. Wish they would cut it back down to two hours. That may help some.

I 100% get why people don't like McAfee and have problems with him on Gameday, but my question is how exactly do you fix the show. Other than needing to go back to 2 hours the show has still been feeling stale the past few years. Does Corso finally retiring make it that much better?

It needs to go down to no more than an hour and shed 5 or 6 people from the cast, along with a new host. It's unwatchable now.
