Yep...he's been fighting cab drivers this year just to beef up his record. But of all people to chase for a paycheck...why Wlad? He could get decent money against Stiverne (WBC champ) since Wilder is too chicken shite to fight anyone that has more than two weeks to prepare. Or maybe some up and comers like Andy Ruiz, Joseph Parker, Anthony Joshua.
Vitali nearly put him in a coma and that was several years ago.

I get why Briggs would be pulling these stunts. What doesn't make sense is why would Wlad play along? Couldn't he find a more viable foil? I mean practically anybody with a pulse would make more sense to stage these things with than this clown

Because of Wlad's losses, he will always be targeted by guys with comparable size. Media can hype it up and try to say he has a weak chin. Wlad keeps quiet and then systematically rips them apart in the ring.
I do not see this fight happening though. No amount of "cab drivers" will be enough to earn Briggs another shot at the title. He didn't deserve the one he had against Vitali and the proof is in the hospital pic you posted.
That being said, I'd absolutely love to see Wlad destroy this chump.

It has nothing to do with race. It has a lot to do with a lack of interest in Eastern bloc heavyweights and a total lack of Americans on the scene-not race-specific. Hell, I think even a Western European (i.e. Brit or Irish) would be a shot of life.
The other problem is that Manny Steward--a great, great man and boxing mind--kinda destroyed the division with the style he taught. It's not like Mayweather who is only boring to the untrained eye and fights with a beautiful, dazzling defensive style. The way Steward taught competent tall fighters like Lennox or the Klitschkos to overwhelm opponents is really unpleasant to watch, even though it's tremendously effective.

Yeah Mike Tyson spoiled boxing for American dumbasses who prefer wild MMA type action from the opening bell.
Mayweather and the KO brothers are such better fighters but Americans are not good boxing fans IMO.
