So now that Sergio has a major, who's the best current player without one?

In terms of career? Westwood, easily.

Dude has made 58 cuts at majors, and has 18 top tens. 11 top fives. And he's been in it for like 20 years.

He's 8th all-time on the European Tour wins list, and that's without any majors/WGC events that count for both tours. I think people forget about him because he doesn't really play in the states much.

ETA: Here's one of my favorite stats: Tiger Woods is 3rd all-time in wins on the European Tour with 40. Because 32 of those are majors or WGC tournaments.

Was Sergio even the best golfer without one before he won last Sunday?

No doubt about it.

Easily Westwood. I'm honestly debating if he'll ever win one though.

He was the most accomplished golfer to have never won one. Ricky Fowler or Hideki are currently the best golfers to have never won one. Lee Westwood is probably the most accomplished active PGA tour golfer without a major.

Westwood has more worldwide wins than Sergio and was #1 in the world at one point. He's clearly the best player without a major now and there was a good argument for that even before Sergio won the Masters.

I think to be labeled as the best player to never won a major you have to be over 30 and have played at least 30 majors. I mean I could honestly claim Jon Rahm is the best player without a major, but that's not what anyone wants to hear.
So using that criteria, I'd go
1. Westwood
2. Kuchar
3. Snedeker
4. Casey
5. Poulter

there are people on this board that could beat Poulter right now

I feel bad for that man - his golf game is lacking because of injuries and his clothing line closed - he did make some fine clothing

Kuchar is in my top 5 of guys who haven't. I think he'll eventually win the Masters.
