Everyone is always pointing to all the 5* players on teams.Looking at Boise St. recruiting for the last 3 years reveals:(Rivals)
2010- 1 4*
6 3*
3 2*
2009- 11 3*
10 2*
2008- 5 3*
14 2*
The highest rated player in the last three years was a 4*.

and yet they have 0 national titles
I bet their star ratings are in line or better than all the teams in the WAC

And they play ten cupcake games a year against shitty WAC competition. I'm much more impressed at what Kirk Ferentz has done at Iowa and Mike Leach when he was with Texas Tech.

Don't discount the "tail wagging the dog" aspect of recruiting rankings. Kids from the areas that are the most followed in recuriting get the most evaluation and the most pub, resulting in higher rankings usually. Right now Rivals has only 1 3* kid from Idaho, no 4 or 5. Do you really think that there is that little talent out there, or is it that nobody really gives a shite and thus very little evaluation is done?

i'm pretty sure most of their skill guys are from cali also
