They get away with a lot more than that. As much as they are penalized (and they get penalized a lot), they get away with a ton of non-calls. They have found a really good balance of fouling so often that the advantage gained overcomes the yardage lost when they get caught.

I'm not in the business of taking orders from you, so I'll respond with snark: You're right. Not only does every coach in the world cheat, but they all cheat equally as much as Pete Carroll. The fact that his successful college program was stripped of its only BCS title and the fact that half his current team is suspended for substance abuse violations is purely coincidental. Every coach benefits from the same egregious rule violations as him. Witch hunt.

I knew he would be successful. He has the Les Miles/Nick Saban do whatever it takes mentality. No reservations.

There's been one guy suspended for smoking weed this season

There hasn't been any "cheating" suspensions this year like is being suggested in this thread.

Lol at the cheating comments by Bounty..err Saints fans.

Pete has been awesome just like Harbaugh has been. Both guys have that drive to win and succeed in a competitive job field.

Carroll has no BCS titles and no Super Bowl titles. I'd say the jury is out.

The Hawks draft really smart players like Russell Wilson and Richard Sherman. It's paying off.

The Seahawks have some of the league's more aggressive players, and a douchey coach is probably their best option for success.

Carroll has been by far the best talent evaluator in the league since he arrived in Seattle. Take a look at this list:

2012
1st - Bruce Irvin - 10 sacks in 24 games already
2nd - Bobby Wagner - 220 tackles, 5 INTs, 4.5 sacks in 24 games; one of the best young LB's in the game along with Lavonte David
3rd - Russell Wilson - nuff said...MVP candidate
4th - Robert Turbin - backup RB & KR; rushed for about 600 yds in 1.5 years backing up Lynch
7th - JR Sweezy - played DT in college, transitioned to OG and starts at RG

2011
1st - James Carpenter - starting LG
4th - KJ Wright - 240 tackles in 2.5 yrs
4th - Kris Durham - starting WR for Lions
5th - Richard Sherman - Pro Bowl CB; top 3 CB in the league currently
6th - Byron Maxwell - starting opposite Sherman in place of the injured Browner; will start full-time next yr when they release Browner

2010
1st - Russell Okung - Pro Bowl LT
2nd - Earl Thomas - best Safety in the league
2nd - Golden Tate - great PR; top 30-40 WR in the league
5th - Kam Chancellor - starting SS, very good one at that

That's unfathomable.

I'd be curious if Saban thinks about a second go at the NFL with the success Carroll is having. I don't think he has the stones to do it, but it's got to be interesting to him seeing the success Carroll is having.

Saban's front office decisions is why he "failed" as a NFL HC. Saban the front office executive let down Saban the head coach.

Pete has figured out that if you have your defensive player mug the shite out of the offensive player on every single play, the refs don't have the guts to call it.

Much like Louisville basketball last year.

More power to them.

You could even add these two to the list...

UDFA - Doug Baldwin - One of the most underrated WRs in the league. Almost 800 yards receiving as a rookie and has almost 700 this year so far while averaging 16.6 ypc.

From the CFL - Brandon Browner - Pro Bowl corner when he's actually on the field.
