Louisianians are so ethnocentric about their culture (food, women, festivals, etc) so its just interesting that they typically despise any other football program in the state.

I've lived in two other states, Texas and Colorado. And I'll back up the point you're making. Students who go to Rice, Houston, Texas State, etc. usually pull for either UT or A&M. Students who go to UNC in Colorado usually pull for either CSU or CU.
For some reason, in Lousiana not only do they not pull for LSU...but they despise LSU and then act as if their success playing a schedule 3 times easier translates to victory without question.

Appreciate the anecdotes. As I briefly mentioned, Ohioans are ecstatic that that the state has 3 undefeated teams (Ohio U, Cincy, and Ohio State) and while Ohio State comes #1 for many of them, they still generally want/hope the others do well.
And I realize a message board might not be the most reliable metric, but yall in LA just hate each other when it comes to football

The point that me and a ton of other posters made about Louisiana Tech is their fans have always been that way. It's not like they just discovered it now that they've had a great season.
I remember vividly talking to a group of "Louisiana Take" fans ~2002/2003, and they were convinced at how overrated a coach Nick Saban was and how Tech would beat LSU.

Tech has a little sucess and now they are the best team in LA...they have become ULL..delusional....ULM is having good sucess also ...LSU fans are somewhat supporting them because ULM isnt talking out their arse and are showing a little class on here.
