Or if it does, the luster will be gone, is boxing officially on its death walk?
I cannot imagine it returning to prominence as it once held even as recently as the 1990s. Pac and Floyd are the last true international stars that could meet in a super fight.
What say you?
Boxing just needs leadership, imo. It's a huge cluster-frick. I acknowledge that the heavyweight division is pure shit, and I'm not sure when it will be good again. But there are a lot of really good fighters in the lighter divisions. With some actual structure and better marketing it could recover.
FWIW, I've seen both MMA and Boxing live, and boxing is way better. MMA is 75% homoerotic grappling, which just isn't exciting at all when viewed in person.
