1. Each team gets the ball at opponent's 25 (same as now)
2. 2nd team to get the ball is forced to play for the win. So if 1st team kicks FG, 2nd team is forced to play for TD. If 1st team scores TD, 2nd team is forced to go for 2 point conversion.

Both teams get the ball. It's fair and quick to way determine a winner and loser. No need for 3 or 4 OTs.

Either way there has to be a winner and a loser. Do you feel better if you lost in the 5th OT vs the 1st OT?

Doesn't prevent a 4th or 5th OT.

What is the point of OT? To break a tie and determine a winner and loser. Why need 5 or 6 OTS when you can decide in 1 OT.

Your way is terrible. If the 1st team kicks a FG and the 2nd team has 4th and 10 from the 15, they must go for it. In no way is that fair for the 2nd team.

If you're going to do this bastardized format, you might as well just go to the NFL rules.

People would hate that.

My system would force ASU to go for 2. If they make it, they win. If defense makes a play, Oregon wins. Simple, short, allows each teams to effect outcome.

There would be a lot less games that even go to a second overtime.

The goal is to give both teams the same exact opportunities with neither side having an advantage.

Your method in no way shape or form does that

No. Just stop. Claim you were drunk in the morning if this thread is still on the first page and let it die a slow death to page 2 and beyond.

People understand your system, its just dumb. You can't force 1 team to play a different overtime strategy, that is the exact opposite of fair.

They just need to move it back so teams don't start in field goal range

There would only be one OT.

There's literally nothing fair about your plan. It's that bad.

Sorry.
