quote:I don't think so. Bama had a 9 minute drive to end the game against LSU. LSU's defense is a lot better than TCU's. I would imagine that Bama would play some serious keep away. They probably would try to have the ball like 40+ minutes if they could. TCU's brand of quick passing and explosive plays play right into that. Its all about timing with them. Bama's front seven disrupts timing better than anyone right now.
Would TCU's TOP against bama allow 100+ plays?

Heard Pat Forde say basically the same thing on the radio earlier today. Highly likely Barry Alvarez and Tom Osborne look at teams like Baylor and TCU as interlopers playing BS football.
Well, they are.

nothing BS about learning to not be scared of passing the ball

The big 12 has very few friends on that committee, and some haters actually.
We can debate SOS and the relative strength of defenses and offenses in different conferences but that is the bottom line.... and why Baylor or Okie light could get screwed even if they wind up undefeated.
And if that happens shite will certainly hit the fan.

Bull. I'm sorry, this is unsubstantiated conspiracy theory BS. If anything, the committee has a demonstrated bias towards BLUE BLOODS, but not towards the Big 12 or any other conference. They are not sitting around trying to think of ways to screw one conference. They do, clearly, give the benefit of the doubt to teams like Ohio St and Bama, but that is a different issue.
There's also the issue that the Big 12, as a conference, has precisely zero OOC wins over teams in the top 25. I firmly believe that teams get votes, not conferences, but the Big 12 has done itself no favors (though that's partly on Tennessee and Arkansas for going into the crapper).

Again, bull. I will bet any amount of money that an undefeated team from a Power 5 conference will make the playoffs. Last year showed that despite its weak overall resume, the committee would still take Florida St. If Baylor finishes the year unbeaten, I 100% guarantee they will be in the playoffs. This is paranoid whining.
If Baylor loses a game, they will likely not make the playoffs. And it has nothing to do with the Big 12 or the Bears' offense, and everything to do with an OOC schedule of Lamar, Rice, and SMU. Baylor scheduled so it had to go undefeated to make the playoffs.

I think they are more concerned about getting in with 1 loss. As I have said before, I don't think no one in the Big 12 has less than 2 losses so its a moot point to me.
