Shouldn't a team that beats 2 of the top 5 in the last two weeks be a lock?

being number 1 means you'd beat everyone else. beating 2 of the 5 best in the country, at the end of the season, does more for auburn's claim to be number one than Ohio state being undefeated and playing nobody.

Michigan state being in the top ten is what would ultimately kill Auburn's chances if this played out.

Playoff system next year... looks like the 2 deserving teams will make it this year, though!

Michigan St. is probably ranked too low.

Probably? They are a top 6 team. No way they should be ranked where they are

and Mizzou was probably ranked too high. Mizzou's SOS has to be pretty terrible this year.

it's gonna be really funny if OSU or FSU loses and Bama goes to the title game

yea I guess, but auburn has proven it can beat the teams that were considered elite after 13 games. they have more evidence to support their claim as the number one team than anyone in the country, regardless of the one loss.

it shouldn't be "are you undefeated?" it should be "how proven is your team?"

Missouri being top 5 seems a bit high

Computers seem to think they should be ranked 11th, one spot lower than the humans.

If you're thinking that way shouldn't FSU be the odd man out?

No. No one should be a lock unless they're undefeated.
