Seriously: name a better play?

The attempts at discussion about this on the SEC Rant have been unsuccessful.
Let's talk about this. I'm sure there are a lot of people here who have a lot more knowledge than me about this sort of thing.
Is there a better play EVER in the history of CFB than the one that happened tonight? Account for the context, not just the actual play (obviously there are better plays but they are not as significant). If Bama wins that game, they have a good shot at winning their THIRD STRAIGHT national title, and 4 out of the last 5. Absolutely nuts.
There are some pretty big ones that almost everyone knows.. The Bluegrass Miracle, Hail Flutie, The Play, The Run, Miracle in Michigan, etc., but none of those were for all the marbles like this one.
I guess I'm just wondering if there is anything that anyone can think of that is a greater play in the HISTORY of CFB?

It will be even bigger if Auburn wins the BCS title.

Hail Flutie won him a heisman, yes im still mad about it. That belonged to Byars...
But awesome play nonetheless. Definitely a case for best ever.

4th and Five, National Championship on the line was pretty huge. It won the National Title for Texas, it truly was for all the marbles.

It wasn't necessarily "for all the marbles." This was basically a quarterfinal game. That said, it very well may be.

You're confusing better with more significant.
The Play was certainly better. So was the play the won Auburn the UGA game, and the Blue Grass Miracle.
FG returns happen rarely, but they happen. Odell Beckham did the same thing earlier this season. Significant play for Aurburn, and potentially NCAAFB, but not a great play comparatively.

They happen much much more often than literally any other type of play in college football. Kickoff/punt returns, interception/fumble returns, Hail Mary's, all of them.
That was the fourth one in the history of NCAA football. It really doesn't matter, aside from the fact that it made this one the fourth instead of the third, that Beckham got one earlier this year. That doesn't diminish the rarity of this one.

anybody remember a guy named cannon?

Nothing's crazier than the Cal-Stanford play but this one is more important, for sure.

actually, Trinity (TX) and Millsaps, 2007
literally 3x as many laterals to win, so there's something crazier

Whats amazing to me is that it was one of the most amazing endings to a game ever....and Vene and Gary called it like a 2nd Down and 10 incomplete pass.

Yeldon got a 4 yard run earlier in the game and Vern screamed YELDON, louder and more animated than he did on that return.
Talk about 2 massive Bama fans

With what was on the line??? NO..........

There have been 2 more FGs returned 109 yards for TDs this year than there have been 57 yard FGs made.
I can't believe anyone, much less the best coach in all of CFB, though that was a good idea.

I really thought I imagined their stunned, almost silent reaction, but this confirms it. What the hell was that about? They should have been coming unglued

Isn't this the truth.

Cannon's punt return secured the National Championship and the Heisman Trophy, so yeah I'll go with that.

Vince vs. two Heisman winners going for a "threepeat" ;)
and on 4th down with less than 20 seconds on the clock.

Hail Mary's happen a couple of times a year. Vince Young with a 4 yd run, you kidding me?
Only the 4th fg return in the history of college football, on the final play of the game? In the iron Bowl with two top 5 teams? Ending Bama's three peat?
GOAT!
