I would too. I'm just curious as to why this fight warrants a PPV. Is it a cash grab by HBO due to to Golovkin's popularity or is his opponent legit?

HBO just loves the golovkin/chocolatito card combo.

Kovalev is going after Ward, Stevenson and Beterbiev. I freaking love this guy. He wants all the belts and wants to knock the heads off of all the top fighters near his weight class.

Kovalev, Golovkin, Lomachenko....these guys from the former Soviet territories are real fighters and represent the true meaning of "champion". Fight in a weight class, go after all the belts and never dodge an opponent.

It's too bad that nearly all of America's top fighters are a bunch of clowns who want all the money and refuse to fight top opposition.

Would be a great matchup. I know Kovalev will fight anybody. Are Ward's people down with making this fight?

If Ward is gonna take the fight he'll have to do it on Kovalev's terms. Kathy Duva already told Ward's team the fight will only take place at 175 for the belts.

Ward is so delusional though that I could see him outbidding himself or demanding it be a PPV held in Oakland or some sh!t. I can't wait to see someone annihilate him.

I don't think the American fighters are the problem. I think it's the American promoters/managers like your buddy Haymon.

You might be right....well, the fighters are soft now but it's a result of tranny loving arse clowns like Al Haymon. His PBC series on network TV is just trash.

I hope we get to see it. It should be a big payday for them as well, assuming they don't do something stupid like fight in Oakland.

Good post. Except for the Lomachenko part.

Still the one I want to see the most. It'd probably be the least competitive of the 3, but Stevenson's the one I most want to get KO'd. I don't hate Ward. I fricking hate Stevenson, though.

fight in Oakland

If Dan Goosen was still promoting him, I could really see it happening. Not sure if Roc Nation can pull it off for Ward, though. Definitely not gonna put money on it happening

Except for the Lomachenko part.

Why not? He wanted Rigondeaux in his third fight and in his second fight he took on a guy with over 50 fights and came in on fight night three weight classes heavier than him....and he still beat the hell out of him late in the fight after getting hit in the nuts at least 30 times.

Stevenson got everything he deserved. He had the Kovalev fight on the table and he ran with Al Haymon to Showtime to get the Hopkins fight....and Hopkins went back to HBO and fought Kovalev And then it got better when Pascal said no thanks to Stevenson and fought Kovalev. Now no one gives a rats arse about Stevenson and Kovalev is the face of the division. I love it.

I still despise Ward, though. He thinks he's a huge draw yet no one in his own city likes him. All he does is whine about not getting a PPV fight and when he does decide to fight every 18 months he takes on a guy no one cares about and all he does is hold and throw elbows all night long. I remember him on the HBO broadcast during Chavez Jr fights and all he'd do is talk about how "me and Chavez would make for a great matchup on HBO PPV". It was disgusting.

Stevenson and Ward both need to get stretched out on the canvas by Kovalev.

And I can't stand Ward's trainer Virgil Hunter. Remember when he was whispering gay porn to Brandon Gonzalez between rounds?
