That being said, isn't that what sports is all about? The genetic freaks are the winners. We don't take Shaq out of the record books because he was an athletic and physical freak right? And I know it's horse vs human.
An interesting debate would be whether a horse is more classified like a car or a human. It's an instrument (in ways) of the sport. I put them more in the human category though.

The races are worth more now they don't have to. Big reds debby was a 300k race. Phroah won as much in tjer derby (1.2 milion) as red earned his entire career (1.3 million)
