Rafael's remarks: In an absolutely devastating performance, Cotto, looking like the destroyer of yesteryear, walked through the weight-drained Geale in blistering fashion to set up a monstrous HBO pay-per-view fight this fall against former junior middleweight titlist Canelo Alvarez, with the exact date and venue (Cowboys Stadium?) to be determined.

I don't think Alvarez can handle a motivated and focused Cotto.

Weight drained or not, that was basically a LH he destroyed Sat night.

Dude looked like walking death at the weigh in FWIW. I think Canelo is going to win but, I like Cotto's new found focus and revitalized left hook. It was pretty devastating the other night.

It was a weight drained middleweight that Cotto destroyed.

Cotto-Canelo is a great fight but it should NOT be for the middleweight title. If Cotto is too chicken sh!t to fight Golovkin, he needs to drop the belt. Plain and simple. Go fight Canelo at whatever BS catchweight they agree to and let the belt go to a real middleweight.

He didn't win the belt at the 160 limit.
He didn't defend the belt at the 160 limit.
He admits he's not a middleweight.

The pathetic WBC needs to get their sh!t together and strip Cotto of his belt. It's a disgrace to the sport.

I love how fans are so obsessed with GGG that they can't appreciate a great matchup like Cotto vs Canelo.

First of all, I've said twice already that I love the matchup. It's probably the biggest fight that can be made in the sport right now. Second, who's obsessed with GGG? My rant was about Cotto holding the belt hostage and the WBC doing nothing about it. GGG has been Cotto's mandatory for a while and he refuses to fight him. Just drop the belt already and move back to 154. I prefer Cotto-Canelo anyway because it's a better fight. I'm not interested in seeing GGG knock Cotto's head in someone's lap at ringside.

He's no different than Danny Garcia. That clown has been holding on to his belts for years and hasn't defended them in 15 months.

Couldn't have said it better!
