I read something recently that the league doesn't want to punish him, but they do want to embarrass him by just letting it hang out there. That's lame if Schefter is doing the league's bidding.

that's kind of how media works
major media guys who rely on sources and connections with big companies often have to basically be PR mouthpieces for those companies

Is he though really? I think Schefter and Ian Rappaport are equals when it comes to credibility. They have NONE.

The chick who accused him of these sent messages to her friends asking them to lie for her to the police. She herself got caught making up the story, and the NFL is still investigating this?
