I still think Robert Meacham is the best comparison.

Meachem has strictly been a straight line speed guy. Never been able to make people miss, never had moves, cant break tackles and is not quick. Watkins is just as fast as Meachem, but is way more elusiveness and can break arm tackles.

Oh and Meachem has always been a big ole pussy.

Watkins is a bit shifter than Meacham but they are the same size and speed. They also have similar hands (decent not great). I am comparing Watkins to Meacham coming out if Tennessee. Meacham was less flashy but played against better defenses I college.

Obviously, the comparison thing is tough with Watkins. I am interested to see what kind of NFL career he has.

May be because of the hair but I've mostly heard Torrey Smith comparisons from the broadcast media during games.

Hes not just a bit shiftier than Meachem... hes way more shiftier than Meachem, who has 0 elusiveness.

I can see the Torrey Smith comparison too. That and a little bit of Maclin.

I have no idea what his TD celebrations will look like in the NFL because he always wore his business suit at Clemson. Scored, handed the ball to the official and headed to the sideline.

We'll see once he gets out of the small college town. If I'm not mistaken one of the reasons he chose Clemson was because it was a small college town and isolated from potential distractions that he worried would get in the way of his football career. And if I'm not mistaken he got in trouble with the law for pot possession when he went back home for a visit last year.

I'm not saying that this will detract from his draft status or that he is any less of a player. Not to mention a college kid having weed is nothing new. But he seems fully aware that he his susceptible to outside influences when he gets out of that small town environment, something he assuredly will regardless of where he gets drafted.

His pot possession charge was at Clemson after classes were over in May (his freshman year). He was with a soccer player (always have the best stuff).

Sounds like a mature decision to choose Clemson.

K. I'll bite.

There were two plays. One he leapt over a DB to make a catch and the other was the TD against Jacksonville.

Maybe I missed a few, but you are acting like he's Calvin or AJG in the air. He's not. That's not his game. It's running by people on bombs or getting the ball on easy routes and using his speed/strength to get by people.

This argument has nothing to do with Watkins anymore. Gordon is one of my favorite players. He's a stud. You just have no clue what ball skills mean.

Go watch Jeffrey highlights if you want elite ball skills. Or Calvin Johnson plucking balls out of the air in triple coverage.

This argument is over

I agree with you about his ball skills. Good but not great.

glad someone with knowledge agrees

That's what makes Gordon so dangerous going forward is he can be on Calvin's level if his ball skills go from good to great.

A lot of occasions this year where he had balls thrown to him and didn't attack the ball and waited for it to come to him. He's young so that will come.

The argument has everything to do with Watkins you tard

I dont think you understand what ball skills mean either. I saw at least 7 on that highlight reel where he caught the ball in traffic, at its highest point, etc. And i never said he was Calvin or AJ. I said hes got great ball skills. And he does.

You crowned yourself a winner in a discussion on a message board... youre so cool.

I mean yea there are a lot of plays where he just burns people. But there are also plays where he goes up and gets the ball and catches it in traffic. Just because he doesnt always have an opportunity to do that doesnt mean he cant do it. Ive seen nothing from Gordon that shows me he doesnt have exceptional ball skills.

And you still havent found anything to support youre argument by the way. Its all your opinion. Everything ive seen or read about Josh Gordon and his skills always says hes got great ball skills. If you had actual evidence it would help.

Still have 0 evidence to support your side. Nor have I seen you link me anything that says or shows he doesnt have great ball skills.

Congrats winner
