i look at calpreps... Holy Cross is rated 45.8 and Rummel is 43.1... Chalmette is at 7.1

but schedule strength is the key here... Holy Cross 25.7 with opponent W-L of 30-33, and Rummel 36.7 with opponent W-L of 42-21...

I mean, we couldn't not play y'all

eta: playing bonnebal hurt pretty bad too, calpreps has a negative rating for them

yeah but Mr. Warner is 69 now... Serigne is up there too... Even Mr. Bickford is no spring chicken anymore... hopefully we've developed and are developing a whole new generation of leaders for Chalmette and St. Bernard Parish...

but i know you said HC was playing 5A with 3A enrollment... the last reclassification they reported 1,040 which while 4A is still on a lower tier with Shaw (924) and St. Aug (885)

(Jesuit has 2,246, Rummel 1,336, and Brother Martin 1,859... and we have 1,634.)

the biggest Chalmette win over HC since the 80s came while we were of course 3A ourselves

are yall gonna get much bigger than that?

my main concern for the rivalry is our competitiveness... if it's a good close game yall can win 10 years in a row and people would still be excited for it. if it's 31-6 and 44-(0) no one will be excited for it.

I was referring to the last 20 years, our enrollment has grown from where it used to be

the campus is built for 1060. we are probably going to be at 1100 next year, and they are trying to figure out where to cram more lockers. we likely won't ever be bigger than 1100-1200 range, we will just get more and more selective

Shaw doesn't have the same negative affect as the Chalmette and Bonnebal games have had on our SOS

i still remember that game when holy cross was up 20-0 at halftime on rummel but they came back and won it in the last 10 seconds

I was at Rummel at the time and I remember that game all too well. The entire Rummel side was going fricking nuts when the pass was caught in the endzone.

Big Rivalry in Lake Charles tonight between Sulphur and Barbe,Year in and year out since 1972, and twice in the playoffs, school buses have crossed the Interstate 210 bridge on their 12-mile trek to the stadium that will play host to one of the biggest, if not the biggest rivalry in Southwest Louisiana: Sulphur vs. Barbe.

A little about NW small school games:

Ringgold will lose to Cedar Creek
Grambling won't have a chance at Haynesville
Plain Dealing will beat Arcadia

Homer will not survive at Calvary Baptist
Lakeside will win at North Caddo
Lakeview will go home from Red River with a loss.

Landry-Walker is fricking SICK. Easton was rolling everyone before this week. They're my pick in 4A to win it all.

Karr-Easton next week is gonna be

Got a surprise with a sibling coming home and so I'll be at Capitol/Dunham with him. Dunham should be able to beat them (although they've really struggled with them every year).
