The thread said Round 1 winners. I'm just going on context here.

And I'm not saying the players they chose won't be great, but to me it looks like the Patriots are winners in Round 1.

my chefs fan friend is not happy

but, it may work out. i'd have picked brockers b/c he doesn't seem like he's ever going to rush the passer

pick brockers and bulk him up to 350

They seem to be moving to a 4-3, so I don't get the Hightower pick. I guess they are going to play him at SLB?

The way I see it is it just gives us versitility and depth

To me we could run a 4-3 with Spikes at mike and Hightower/Mayo on the outside LBer positions or in the 3-4 I really think Hightower can play Inside Lber or Outside if hes not asked to get into coverage

Also dont forget Brandon Spikes is a crazy person

I like the pick the more i think about it

yeah dorsey has been a bust

jackson was just over-drafted. he's a solid run-stopping 3-4 DE

the problem is that the FORMER economic value of the 3-4 led to you getting these tweener in late rounds. there is no value to drafting a tyson jackson at 3. might as well keep the 4-3

Yeah they picked up 2 more guys that can get after the QB. Mark Anderson isn't very young either. You send these 3 guys on passing downs and they could wreck some stuff.

Vikings.

they got a 4th, 5th, and 7th in addition to the number 4 overall.

For all we know, they didnt even change the guy they picked 4th.

Lots of teams want no part of a RB with the 3 overall, no less someone who just got scoped. RB's last, on average 4.5 years in the NFL.

Pat's did ok, not AMAZING. just good.

Mark Anderson signed with the Bills. Thus making the Jones pick even more important

I really hope Andre Carter comes back. He was huge last year til he got hurt

They are actually both very adept at stopping the run. PFF had them ranked 1st and 2nd 34 DEs against the run last year.

They KNOW how to draft. Its about the end of the run with Brady at the helm. This may be their last shot.

I like Ingram over the two running backs that were taken at the end of the 1st round.

He's had some of his best years in his mid 30s, I think he's got around 4 years left.

I don't. He better get into shape THIS YEAR. he looked slow and inefective for the most part. NOT what the Saints were looking for by trading UP to get him.
