Because during the course of a Bear's game Cutler doesn't do a whole lot of dunking on his knee. He backpedals.

that while the MSB was absolutely crushing Jay Cutler, who actually tried and wanted to play through an injury in a much more violent game, but was pulled by his coaches and team doctors.
the bears front office failed cutler on this. they just let him stand on the sidelines, moping like he was being benched. a simple note sent to the media that cutler was injured and unable to return would have fixed alot of that situation.

and everyone in this thread seems to have an unusually high tolerance for derrick rose's pain...

I don't think that's relevant to him being injured, trying to play, MSB killing him even though he tried to play compared to Rose and them stating, "Yea, take all the time you need, don't even come back thsi year even if you can"

However, it does seem a bit ridiculous that he's been cleared to play (right?) for awhile now and isn't playing.

I cut him slack because of my personal history with knee injuries.

I got accused of mental weakness when I told everyone that my knee was NOT all right despite the therapists clearing me. Turns out the injury was misdiagnosed and required a 'scope to remove the meniscus obstructing the joint, but people were very reluctant to admit they were wrong about me.

Point Guards don't win championships.

The Spurs in 2007 were the last team to win a championship with an elite PG. But we all know Tim Duncan(the big man) was still the cornerstone of the team both offensively and defensively.

I think there was a setback that the Bulls are hiding from everyone (and considering how secretive they've been about this whole thing, it wouldn't surprise me).

I mean Rose played through multiple injuries last season (toe, back spasms, toe again, groin, then tore the ACL), so its not like he hasn't proven he can't play through injury. Maybe he's not completely 100% right now physically, and if he goes out there, he's afraid that something severe like the ACL injury will occur.

you having one doctor misdiagnosis you and a professional nba player having the best doctors money can buy are completely different. they didn't diagnose him incorrectly. he is 100% healed and he has been rehabbing for months.

he is being a huge bitch

As a Bulls fan, I'm down to either this, he had a huge setback that we don't know about, or hes listening to his brother and agent WAY too much.

If he is medically cleared to play he should play. I just don't see the harm in him playing if he physically can

I wouldn't resign Rose. I would spend the money to get an elite big man. Building a team around an elite big man is the formula to a championship.

Lebron James, Dirk Nowitzki, Gasol & Bynum, Garnett, Duncan, Shaquille Oneal.

You're a dumbass if you think big men are less important to a teams success than a point guard.

To say a certain position does or does not win championships is ridiculous. Every now and then you have teams with great collective talent that have won, but NBA championships are usually won by the teams that have one of the top 2 players in the league. Lebron, Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, Jordna, Bird, Magic, Hakeem, etc.
