Nope CC makes too many threes for Spurs to keep up. Can't count on CC to shoot 15% from three like in the last outing... Otherwise a merely average three PT shooting squad like SAS can't keep up.

Rivalry means you win something important by both teams and it is pretty evenly matched.

last time I checked last time Houston won something important was 22 years ago and San Antonio won something important was 3 years ago. But like you say it is a what have you done lately type league and 22 years is not very lately.

Since 2000, just using a round numbered year and such. Houston has only once won the season series vs the Spurs. But in that year, the Spurs won the LOB.

So based of data that is not really a series.

Just to be fair to you, I think the season series has been tied 6 times in that span.

Now you can refute my numbers, but a players choice metric does not count.

That's what people said about AC vs. the Suns, too

What about the outing before that, which SA also won?

Don't remember that one. Wasn't able to watch I think it was a weekend game and we had plans. Not gonna comment too much on a game if I don't watch it

Then quit talking out of your arse for once.

Y'all shot 32% from distance in that game, at home, outscored our bench, got a tripe double from Harden, and still lost.

Maybe y'all should adjust your approach when you play AC. Pop loves it when Pringles tries to bomb away from 3.

Rockets really are the best case 2nd round match up for the spurs other than the 5-8 seeds. Would love to get that matchup leading into the WCF against GS.

32% is crap. CC shoots 37+%.

So if you got a game of 32% and a game of 16%.... welll safe to say you know what's coming when those %s even out. And it won't be purty.

To be very honest, the only team that worries me is the Warriors. If the Spurs lose in the 2nd round, so be it. If they win the LOB or the West, so be it. But I have not seen much from the Spurs to see a WCF appearance this season, probably because I have not had much of a chance to sit down and watch them like I have in the past. Maybe Sports Fatigue, maybe just the regular season does not interest me right now, who knows?

It's Pre-ASB. Pop is still dicking around. If players can stay healthy and hold onto that 2nd seed, I think we finally get that WCF matchup with the Warriors they have been predicting for a few years now. Thank God the Thunder are no longer a factor. Spurs could not handle that athleticism.

Seems like y'all's shooting goes bye-bye when AC comes a-calling

Just a fluke, bc your slow unathletic D surely isn't able to contest many of them.

Ironic thing is this year's squad is definitely a step up in athleticism Just don't have the corporate knowledge we're accustomed to (outside of Frenchie McWonderbutt, The Baker's Man, and Kawhilights).

Going to be a very interesting stretch run. No idea if they'll galvanize into something or not. Actually kinda glad Pau is out for a bit. I wanna see Dedmon get some extended run with the starters.

You know the one thing that to me will be interesting is to see how the rotation changes with Pau out. Have they said how long yet?

Bertans says hi.

Mills says hi.

Get with the times, Boom. The "Spurs are old/slow" theme is no more if you're paying attention.

Last I heard was at least a month.

My guess is that they'll hold him out until close to the end of the RRT.

I saw that they will assess after he recovers from surgery a bit. But you're right, I'm glad this is happening now and Dewayne will get an increase in playing time. Also excited to see Murray play more. He is raw but might be solid

If that's the case how come 80% of the CC 3 pt attempts are classified as either OPEN or WIDE OPEN. Meaning at least a 4' distance to the nearst defender. I'll tell ya why. Too much parker, too much ginobili, too much mills, too much gasol, etx. etx.

and you mention 3 players that play like 15 min per game thats what we call grasping for straws fella.

We could have something on our hands with him once he styles in a bit more and puts on some weight. Kid plays with terrific confidence. He looked at home out there last night.
