Not according to Florio/PFT. It's around $12 guaranteed.

For now, it’s definitely a three-year, $13.23 million deal, and $18.23 million over four if he’s not cut after three seasons.

Still a nice raise for him though.

The six-year deal includes $18.17 million guaranteed. It is a stunning move by the team for a player entering just his third NFL season, but the Patriots recognized the game-breaking skills of the record-setting Gronkowski.

Well hes not getting cut after 3 seasons so essentially its 18 mil guarenteed

Yeah I wonder how many times that phrase has been uttered in the NFL.

Just stay healthy, experience no drop off in production and it's essentially a guaranteed deal.

Gord Gronkowski said the big money won't change his son in the least.

"No, Rob is Rob. He still to this day will wear jeans that he had in high school, and shirts that he had in high school," he said. "We're not flashy people. And that's Rob all the way. The money, it's nice, don't get me wrong, but it will not change him. Rob will always be Rob the goofball."

Kind of funny that his Dad is calling him a goofball in the national media. For some reason it makes me think of last season when Bibi Jones posted those pics in his jersey.

I feel like yes.. it's a ton of money for a tight end.. but his stats were right there with the top wide receivers that just signed 6-7 year deals for 100 million..

My favorite is still when Russillo called him the biggest meathead he's ever met and Rob said, "Thank you".

Oh, and you can save this in whatever folder you want, Rob Gronkowski isn't going to be cut in three years. I will literally perma-ban bet on that.

Why are you rolling and laughing?

Jimmy Graham is a great gigantic WR.

Rob Gronkowski is a great all-around TE.

I'm completely on board with calling those style of TEs a different position name. Lets be honest here, Antonio Gates, Dallas Clark, Jimmy Graham, and Aaron Hernandez almost never block. Hell, had Green Bay offered Finley the Franchise Tag, they would have had to pay him WR money. This is in no way saying they aren't game changing, potentially (and in Gates case are) all time greats, its just saying they are not nearly as balanced as the Rob Gronkowski, Witten, and as of right now best tightend of all time Tony Gonzales.
