If the Pats opt to cut him before an option bonus before his second to last year, it's basically a 6 year/$40m deal. His salary also only barely increases the first two seasons (before the expected salary cap jump from the new network deals). That's not a bad deal for the Pats.

Notice no one is really talking guaranteed money.

Only like $10 million is guaranteed. No way Gronk sees all that money as long as the Hoodie runs the Pats.
