According to sources, the Wiz are locked in on making a major offer to Joakim Noah. The Wizards are said to be willing to offer Noah, coming off shoulder surgery that KO’d him in January, a full maximum contract. His deal would start at $28 million and reach around $120 million over four seasons.

And so it begins. Lawd have mercy that's a crazy number for a 31 year old player of his caliber.

I just saw that.

There is NO WAY that is true, right?

I mean Noah is completely washed up.

Then again this is the NBA, where retarded deals reign supreme.

This is grounds for renouncing your fandom for wizards fans.

Ernie Grunfeld is the Jeff Fisher of the NBA. I'm going to grow a mustache and just be awful at my job.

Why would they offer him that under any circumstances?

My initial reaction is that he's a clear upgrade over Gortat.

But comparing their numbers, he doesn't appear to be much of an upgrade at all, especially not considering what they want to pay him.

Can't be real. If it is, that's the final straw for me. Can't continue to follow that joke of a franchise until Ernie is canned.
