Someone on reddit made a good point. Reggie Miller's legacy benefits from MJ being an untouchable god of basketball. He never won a title largely because of Michael.
Same for that 90's knicks squad, barkley and a couple more greats!

the rules are different now but Jordan's career fg% of .497 is a ton better than Kobe's of .452.
Their career's did overlap for perhaps seven seasons (if you count the wizards) FWIW. This isn't as hard as comparing great players from the 70s with today.

Reggie is exaggerating for sure, but know way ever was Kobe as good as MJ.

Jordan shot 51% his rookie year. That picture is full of shite
While true, his rookie season stats were still better than Kobe's MVP season.

Weren't they only in the league together like 3 seasons? The first two would have been years 1 & 2 for Kobe, and MJ was like 40 for the last one with the Wizards. Or did I misunderstand your point?

the first year kobe played in the nba was the 1996-1997 season. jordan finally retired for good from the wizards after the 2002-2003 season. you can fairly make the point that kobe wasn't very good his first couple years and jordan wasn't near his prior excellence in his last two years tho.

Thats pretty funny because I saw Kobe drop 40+ on MJ.....in the first half.

Kobe beat Miller's team in the finals before. Jordan's Bulls beat the Pacers once in the playoffs during their career, in an ECF
great point, I never would have guessed Miller faced Jordan & Kobe the same # of times in the post season
