Well, I fall in that group of 3. It's just like UK football. I'm there, I cheer, I hope. It's hard to talk shite and act like you care when your owner has hired his daughter to run the team and still the only professional sports team in America without a GM. That's hard to stick with.

It's really not, aka Browns fans. frickers have been through more pain than you could possibly imagine and they are 10x the fanbase of the Bengals. You had a playoff team last year for fricks sake, but your upper bowl was empty during the last quarter of the season. :inb4theeconomysucked:

I never called you bandwagon, but next time you go watch a game ask your fellow fans. Typical response:No connection, never lived there, they were good so I got on. I've had civil conversations with "true" Steelers fans but the bandwagoners want to get in your face. You did better by not being a Cowboys fan, they are more evil. I hate them too, but they aren't around as much and the Bengals don't play them often.

I didn't choose the Steelers because they were good. They were the only team that came on every week until the Carolina Panthers came to where I lived at the time.

I will agree we do have a fair amount of bandwagoners, but like you said the true Steeler fans are some of the best in football.

EDIT: A down year like this will weed out some of the bandwagoners. But I've sat through down years. We had some with Cowher. Hell the year before Ben we were 6-10.

Browns fans are great. I can't afford to go up there all of the time. I usually went to at least 4 games a year and I lost my job this year so we had to tighten the belt. So yeah, my year has kind of sucked and this has given me a brief break from that. So I'm gonna gloat!!!!

EDIT: I like the Bengals as a team. Great young nucleus and I wish y'all the best of luck. It's the fans that get me.

Bingo.

The MSB is a pretty good example. I only knew of about 2-3 Bengals fans on the MSB the past couple of years, but now there are about 10 diehards.

I totally understand. My wife is from Western Ky and was a Cards and Colts fan. That changed quickly before I asked her to marry me. Now she was with my mom, dad and I celebrating today.

Aren't most fanbases guilty of this?

I'm always here posting about the Reds. There are rarely any Bengal threads and I'm not starting one so the first post can be "shitty team/Not watching. I also don't like to talk shite when we get our arse beat. Do I need to sign in and say, "we sucked thanks for the rape"

Your dad introduces you. Then he lets Anthony Munoz hold you as a baby. Then since we only had one tv at the time, it was on the Bengals. So I watched and cheered. It's a lot of shite, but days like today are special for my family.

Oh my god, my favorite team actually won a big game for the first time in decades, so I'm gonna act like they are fricking worldbeaters.

Congrats bro. It sucks completely falling off the map like the Steelers did this season, but its good seeing a historically shitty franchise break through. But then you are introduced to assholes fans like yourself, so it's going to be a blast watching the Patriots rape you.

Yeah, U mad. We may lose to the Pats. Probably likely. But we are in the playoffs and you can't say that. So put some Butt Paste on your arse and get rid of the butt hurt, And may God help you if we were to pull off the unthinkable and beat the Pats. You will hear about it again.

The Heat don't even have fans when they win. The Bengals do even when they lose.

You won't beat the Pats.

Heat fans are the worst, just ignorant.

To be honest I didn't know there were any Bengal fans until you posted.

The one good thing about being a Bengals fan is that it makes wins like this way more exciting, even though everyone knows that they will get frickstomped in the playoffs.

I'm excited because today all but sealed Todd Haley's fate. Nothing like having a college golfer as your OC.

This. Heat fans post-decision kind of throw all rules of being a fan of a team out the window
