Too bad that Oklahoma/Nebraska rivalry is dead. Teams used to have epic games back in the day.

Great rivalry, but I really miss the Nebraska/Colorado rivalry the day after Thanksgiving. Those two played some great ones back in the day. Very underrated rivalry.

Not this weekend, but the best rivalry game in all of sports is Army/Navy football.

Stanford UCLA is not a rivalry.

UCLA/USC on the other hand would be top 3 on that list. It's crazy how one game can capture the attention of a city of 5 million.

people in L.A. don't give a shite about college football. Capture the attention of 5 million?

Well they don't. They care more about the Lakers & Dodgers than college football.

Some irrelevant college football game has 5 million in the city on pins & needles

sure. Just like most major metropolitan areas care more about their pro teams if you make them make the choice. But you're fricking retarded if you actually think college football doesn't matter in LA or that people in the city don't care about the SC/UCLA game

Well how come both teams average 75% turnout to their home games then? Can't even come close to filling up their stadiums in a city of millions.

please show me another city that would have two teams averaging about 70k per game and 75k a game when they go against stuff like dodger, clipper, laker games, etc

hell the dodgers had a playoff game at dodger stadium and both the bruin and Trojan games were going on at the same time and still both games had 70k people in attendance

Seriously, this is not the final week of college football this year. Have at least another week after this one, along with the Army/Navy game.

So then I guess college football does NOT capture the interest of a city of 5 million people.

Moral of the story: that rivalry is nowhere near top3, cause both fanbases suck.

Average over 75% attendance for your home games and I might start to take your fanbase & rivalry seriously.

5 million on pins & needles....yet 30% of the stadium is empty
