Congrats to Westbrook on his team's 6th seed finish and easy first round exit. I can't wait to see the first player on a non-playoff team win the award. He'll probably be the MSB's favorite player.

Bro we pretty much moved on from that. It is a regular season award. Reg season was over 2 months ago. We not even watching the ceremony.

I don't see how applying decades long criteria to the mvp award makes me a homer... but thats your opinion I guess.

Frankly, I don't mind Westbrook getting the award but at least admit his selection is 100% based on his triple double statistics. Had he averaged less than that we wouldn't be having this conversation. I now know the team component matters a lot less.

What's ironic is Westbrook will be the best mvp of all time statistically speaking, but he will have been the leader of arguably the worst team ever to have an mvp winner. If that's the message the league wants to send, more power to them.

They will DVR it on the off chance Harden wins.

Afterwards, they will squeeze it in between film sessions.

I'd imagine James will take it home again. Safe to say he is more admired by his peers than the guy who ran KD outta town so he can put up more numbers and lose more games.

How is this logic flawed? A player can't not be the MVP when they're the only player voted unanimous first team all-NBA and the others weren't. That should logically correlate to his selection as MVP.

I'm not sure how many more times your piss poor logic needs to be illustrated for you to understand. I'm guessing it is a supremely large number of times, though.
