question on what i just saw in the Iron Bowl

they went to review to see if the ball and the Alabama guy's foot hit the back line of the end zone. The official had the perfect view in the perfect spot. Why are they so quick to go to review when the call on the field should be accurate?

now i can see review being necessary when officials don't have the perfect view

It's become a reflex. They need to cool down on replaying everything.

The funniest part was that a couple plays later there is a clear lateral pass that they called incomplete. And did not review.

Anything to do with a touchdown is automatically reviewed, right?

What is a perfect view? What if the ref blinked as soon as it tapped the line?
