Question for White Sox fans regarding Hawk Harrelson

Does Hawk even talk anymore?
Top of the 10th and he maybe said 5 words all inning. Steve Stone barely said anything either and sounds like he is miserable. When the Sox left the bases loaded, Hawk was dejected like someone had just murdered his dog.

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone wondering why Hawk Harrelson doesn't talk more.

I'm not advocating for him to use more words, believe me. It was just extremely quiet, and still is in the bottom half

The Hawk....... What a crappy announcer. Sure he is a homer, but so was the late great Skip Carey...... Skip>>>>>>>>>>>>Hawk.

He's hilarious - he was like "well, we had something to do that we haven't done since 1927 and we blew it", failing to mention that they won game 1 of the series by the Red Sox blowing the SAME EXACT SCENARIO (bases loaded, nobody out and great hitters up in Pedey, etc).
He's the epitome of a homer - I like him but he's a homer hack in many ways.
Plus the Red Sox were the home team and are the better team - it's silly to act any other way than it was a great road trip for his team.

Hawk is a huge homer but he's got some of the greatest catch phrases in baseball history.
"He Gone!" is literally my favorite sports saying of the past 30 years. I use it all the time in life in general.
I also say "This ballgame... is OVAH!" in all sports - it's fun to use his phrases.

One other thing I'll say in his defense as he eases into retirement - very fricking cool that he's doing all the ROAD games instead of only the HOME games. That's an awesome way to go out - visit your favorite haunts in each city and spend time with your friends you've made along the way, etc.
He's my pick to click in regards to going out in style

You use "HE Gone" in daily life?????? Sorry for who you hang around with....

He gets in moods where he doesn't say much and pouts- usually when things are going bad like today's clown show.
The guy who did the ESPN game last night calls the Sox home games.... They're easing Hawk out.

Hawk was hilarious when you accepted him for what he is, he's getting senile though I think. If you never read the Fangraphs announcer rankings they're great

I hated him for a while but then grew to like him.
"He gone!" for a strike out, "You can put it on the board! Yes!" for a home run, and "This ball game is ovah!" are great catch phrases that I enjoy.
"Kansas City special" and "Stretch" and annoying.

Yep, it's always been that way with him. On one hand, it's nice to know he's as angry as you are, but on the other hand he's supposed to be a professional and actually tell you what's happening.
Any random Sox fan could do what he does with a mic. Hell, I'll do it for real cheap, too.

He gone is actually a pretty common meme in daily life if you venture out of the trailer park.
