That Evangel D is insane. Catholic has a lot of talent...my prediction for the championship matchup if they don't run into each other in the semis again. Can't wait

This is a possible top 5 all-time West Monroe team and that says a lot. Computers

just shows you how bad the USA Today national rankings are.
They have John Curtis at #16 in nation
Now if they go undefeated with their schedule, they probably should be.

Could possibly have been the best team in St Amant history and we will probably never know how good this years team could have been

Ken's poll seems more realistic.
I would put Neville at #1 They are insanely loaded this year with potentially 9 college prospects on their team.
Looking at 5A:
West Monroe is loaded again but the WM faithful are starting to doubt. Can they get back to their championship ways?
Can Zachary pickup from where they left now that Linday Scott has graduated.
Parkway should be a force again this year.
Acadiana should be strong at the end, as usuall.
John Ehret, can they have another year like last year?
Destrehan. Seems to slipped a little over the last year or so. Will they be able to get back in top form?
Hahnville. Potential is there but they still can't get over the hump.

I would be surprised if there's a more knowledgeable HS football source than Ken Trahan. He's a machine

Would love to see them 3Peat. It's been a heck of a run so far.

Until WM wins a ring without Coach Shows, the doubts are understandable. WM is indeed loaded, but we were last year as well. You'll know how good this team is pretty quickly. The schedule is insane. Scrimmage a loaded Parkway tomorrow. Jamboree against Neville. Play Curtis week 2, Madison Central 3, Franklinton, and Ridgeway Tennessee in non district as well. Really no gimmes until district and we can't control who we play there. Should be a fun year.

What's your thoughts on how this flood will impact district 4-5A and neighboring districts? Logistical nightmare for LHSAA to validate eligibility of displaced athletes.

At least there's some sort of plan in place, since they dealt with kids scattered all over the state after Katrina.

I can only imagine how much recruiting is going on this week at the public schools.

Oh yeah.. I wonder how many houses JT Curtis has helped gut.

Acadiana is a top 5 team in the state this year. Not just saying that. They will be loaded for the next few years. Lots of talent on this team. Biggest Offensive line in school history on paper. Bigger than the 2010 team.

The offense is going to be damn good this year. If defense comes around this is a 7-8 win team.
